<\/a>Yep - I think that's the train we want...<\/p><\/div>\n
We decided to go to the beach for lunch, so hopped on the train for Chigasaki – a beach town, which had a Hawaiian themed festival on for the weekend.\u00a0 The organisers must’ve been wrapped at the weather!\u00a0 We had a lunch of Salsa Hot Dog and Nachos, washed down with a Ginger and Mango drink.\u00a0 There were hula dancers singing away, and it was generally a good vibe.<\/p>\n

A short walk took us down to the beach, where we were walking through the sand, surrounded by food tents, all sending out their amazing aromas.\u00a0 We could have easily eaten at each and every one of them!\u00a0 There were some beach soccer courts set up, that young (<10 years old) children were playing a competition at.\u00a0 So we soaked up the atmosphere, enjoyed the sun, and walked back to the train station.<\/p>\n Make sure you go the right way when a Tsunami arrives....<\/p><\/div>\n On the way home, at Fujisawa station, we looked at a map, and Kaoru explained the way places are “found”.\u00a0 There aren’t streets, per se.\u00a0 A “suburb” is broken up into a number of smaller sections (each with their own name).\u00a0 Then each block is given a number.\u00a0 And each building in the block is given a number.\u00a0 Very confusing to find a place if it’s your first time.<\/p>\n Back at the flat I got some work done while Kaoru cooked yet another wonderful meal.\u00a0 Although we did have to discuss the portions, because I’ll start putting on too much weight!\u00a0 It all tastes sooo good!<\/p>\n After dinner I *finally* got around to finishing the basic Hiragana.\u00a0 My accuracy isn’t that good, and I haven’t gone through the “modifiers” for want of a better term – not sure what their Japanese name is), but I at least know the 46 Hiragana characters, and their sounds now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Today was lovely!\u00a0 Considering we had experienced rain for the last couple of days, I awoke to sunshine and blue skies!\u00a0 It hit about 25 degrees!
